Welcome to Todalen and Todalshytta

Todalshytta was put up by an Englishman, Ethelbert LortPhillips, in the year 1901. He came to Nordmøre to fish salmon in the rivers. By that time the number of accommodations was indeed small in this region. As a businessman he at once saw a possibility for making money by accommodating his fellow countrymen who, like himself, came to Nonvay to enjoy the pleasures of outdoor life.

Almost fifty years later, in 1947, the house was sold to its present owner, Kristiansund og Nordmøre Turistforening (KN7).

Today Todalshytta can serve as your base, whether you want to explore the surrounding mountains or you prefer to spend the day at the river waiting for the big one to bite.
