Whether you are walking or cross-country skiing, you will find Aursjøhytta situated in a terrain with rather rounded topographic forms intersperced with plains. However, a few km to the northwest you will find differences in altitude of more than 1800 meters over a distance of 2-3 km. Both Eikesdalen and Sunndalen/Litledalen offer spectacular examples of the rugged landscape of Western Norway.

Arriving by car, you can use Aursjøhytta as your starting point for walks in the nearby mountains, or you can just stop for a meal or a cup of coffee. Anyhow, we think you will appreciate the relative comfort of Aursjøhytta, with electric light and heating. Not to mention the pleasure of a hot shower after a long day in the mountains.
